Feature Friday #3 - Angie Williams

Blog by: Vicky Pemberton, Director of Employee and Customer Engagement, Adept4 - 27-Apr-2018

Every Friday we're going to be asking a few questions to a member of the Adept4 team. We hope that this will provide some insight into our world. Some answers may be interesting, some maybe surprising and some may even be embarrassing but everyone is different!

The week's Feature Friday is Angie Williams, Service Operations Team Leader.

AW FF

How long have you worked for Adept4?

4 years.

What do you love about IT?

I like the ever changing face of IT. It doesn’t ever get stale.

What are your day to day tasks?

Amongst many things, I manage the 1st Line Service Desk Team, ensuring that we are providing the users with the right experience when contacting the Service Desk.

What is the coolest thing you’re working on right now?

The Service Desk are about to move to Anywhere 365. This is really exciting for us because it allow us to be able to provide a better service to our customers. Its also a great application for our teams to use as it gives them the ability to know who is available in the business and perform call transfers with total ease.

What are you passionate about?

I love British wrestling. I started watching wrestling when I was very young, with my Grandad. My Nan used to say the only time he smiled was when he was watching World of Sport! I try and get to an indie event at least once a month. PCW is the best fed at the moment (not for kids though in case anyone was thinking of going 😊)

What is your guilty pleasure?

I’d say wrestling but wrestling is awesome so I don’t feel guilty about it 😊. Those who know me might be surprised to find out that I love the musical film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers with Howard Keel and Jane Powell and I’ve seen it about 100 times (there goes my reputation, lol). If you haven’t seen it I suggest you give it a watch. It’s available now on Amazon prime.

Do you have a claim to fame?

Erm, I was on The Chase once. I didn’t win. They asked me questions about fashion and motor racing. If the questions had been on heavy metal, classic cars or wrestling I’d have been laughing. Funnily enough, I bumped into Mark, who knocked me out of The Chase, about 3 weeks later at an indie wrestling event and gave him what for.
